Duties and Responsibilities:

Pharmacy technicians work in many pharmacies under the directions of the pharmacist their main thing to do as there job is that they have to fill the prescriptions according to the doctors’ orders for the patients. All of their prescription filling work is rechecked by a pharmacist before medications are dispensed to patients or customers.  Other duties of pharmacy technicians are waiting for the costumer, keeping pharmacy work areas clean, help fill out the insurance form.

Average Salary: $15,000 - $25,000

Educational requirements:

Student should take math, science but for sure chemistry and typing courses in high school, you would need a high school diploma is usually a requirement to being a pharmacy technician training. Two years courses leading to certificates are available at most of the community colleges.

Reflection:

I would not want to be a pharmacy technicians because this career doesn’t really speak to me and I don’t really see myself working at this career in my future.
